Lindvara is an app for macOS that lets you change your iPhone's current location. It's useful for social media, dating apps, and location-based games — anywhere you'd rather not share exactly where you are.
After subscribing you get access to the download page, where you can grab the Mac build. It's a standard .dmg — open it, drag Lindvara to Applications, and you're set.
Use a normal iPhone charging cable. Plug your phone into your Mac, tap Trust on the phone, and enable Developer Mode once in Settings → Privacy & Security. Lindvara walks you through it on first launch, and you only do it once.
It uses the Developer Mode feature built into iOS — the same mechanism Apple provides to Xcode for simulating a location. Nothing is jailbroken and nothing is installed on your phone.
A pinned location does — it holds until your iPhone restarts. Routes, journeys and drift need the cable, because they send a new position every second. (Turning Developer Mode off before unplugging makes a pinned location stick most reliably.)
